This Tuesday, we will be focusing on mending. Got a sweater with a hole in it? Did the puppy use your new cardigan as a tug toy? What about that sweater you made 20 years ago that he has worn to death? Pull out that bag of sweaters and learn how to bring your hand-knit garments back to life! Mending is a skill that no knitter should be without.

This Tuesday, we will be focusing on learning a new stitch from the Perpetual Calendar. This is a great way to expand your personal stitch library. Make your squares with complimentary yarns for a unique afghan or work them up in dish cloth cotton for a great household helper. Remember to bring worsted weight yarn and US size 8 (5mm) needles with you.
July Tuesday Techniques are now available! Just visit the Tuesday Techniques page to see the exciting new skills you can learn.
Remember, you do not have to pre-register for these! You can just drop into the shop a few minutes prior to the class. For less than the cost of a fast food lunch you can expand your knitting knowledge. Go on, give it a try!

This Tuesday, we will be focusing on sock darning. You’ve spent all that time knitting socks and now they have a hole. What do you do? Or even worse, your nephew feeds a hand knit sock to the dog. How do you repair that hole without re-knitting the entire sock? Don’t despair, you can darn them! (And we don’t mean Chelsea’s method of throwing the socks on the floor and shouting, “Darn!”) Learn this valuable technique and never throw out a hand knit sock again.
Ever feel like things are dark and small? Do you have trouble reading the fine print or seeing your stitches? Then check out the new lights and lighted magnifiers that just came in!

These great little LED lights clip-on wherever you need. Their magnifiying counterparts come in two different styles; one with a built in case and one without. But you’d better, hurry… These handy little tools are selling fast!
Summer is nearly here and soon the kids will be out of school. Why not make good use of their extra time by teaching them how to knit? We’ve just received two I Taught Myself to Knit kits featuring favorite Disney characters.

Each kit comes with instructions for several fun projects, needles, and notions. Spend some quality time with your kids/grandkids/nieces/nephews while sharing the craft you love.

This Tuesday, we will be focusing on different techniques for casting on. Learn several different ways to cast on and where they are most useful. A good (or bad) cast on can make (or break) your entire project. Don’t let your hard work be sabatoged by that critical first step. Remember, there is more than one right way to cast on!
