Happy Wednesday!  Just a quick reminder that today is Crochet Block of the Month Club!  I hope to see everyone with two colors of worsted weight yarn and a hook at 6:00pm tonight at the shop.  Don’t forget to bring your book!

Feb 22

Just a reminder that Crochet Block of the Month will be held Tuesday, February 23rd this month.  We will meet at 6:00pm at the shop and end around 7:30pm.  Remember to bring your book, 99 Granny Squares to Crochet.  We will be making another solid colored block, so bring one color of worsted weight yarn and a size G – I hook (depending on personal gauge).  Remember, Crochet BOTM club is free!  Come join us!

Due to popular demand, we have started a Crochet Block of the Month club!

If you’re interested in joining, don’t worry, you’re not behind! We’ve started working on our first block from the Leisure Arts book 99 Granny Squares to Crochet, available for purchase in the shop. We’ve started with #26, the basic granny square. If you’d like to join us, just grab your size G – I hook (depending on your personal gauge and preference) and some worsted weight yarn.

The Crochet Block of the Month Club meets the 4th Wednesday of every month (except for February*). The class is free and open to anyone with basic crochet skills. This is a great way to build your mental crochet stitch library!

*Because the instructor will be at Stitches West the 4th Wednesday of February, block club will be held the Tuesday prior, February 23.

It’s time to take your crochet skills up a notch.  Show off your new skills in a big way with this gorgeous afghan!

Create a beautiful blanket in colors and textures of your choice while learning essential crochet skills.  Learn to join yarns and bury the ends as you go so you don’t have to weave them in later.  You won’t get bored as this lovely piece uses single, double, and treble crochet, decreases, and working front or back loops.

Sandy’s beautiful shop sample was made with Jarbo Duo and Encore Chunky in 8 colors.  Come in and we’ll help you choose the perfect yarns, or delve into your stash for those extra special skeins.

You’ve got the crochet basics down, but you’re ready to do something more than squares.  Round out your crochet technique with a circular tote bag.

Learn to crochet in the round, increase, decrease, and change yarn in pattern.  Best of all, this great project helps you do your part for the environment.  Crochet several up and never have to deal with an ugly plastic grocery bag again.  These make great gifts for your ecologically-minded friends and family and they also double as great project bags!
