This DK weight yarn is soft and washable, making it perfect for socks and baby items.  We especially like it in the Carried Away Car Seat Blanket designed by our very own Erika!   The pattern is available as a Ravelry download or a hard copy sold exclusively in our shoppe.

If you aren’t already familiar with this neat yarn, then you need to come check it out!  One skein makes a scarf and it couldn’t be easier.  Simply knit through the top row of loops and the yarn does the work for you.  A simple scarf is worked over 8 stitches on any size needle between a 7 and 11.  Gauge doesn’t matter!  Check out the video courtesy of Universal Yarn on how to work with this exciting new yarn.

Shibui Sock is an ultra-soft Merino sock yarn that comes in both semi-solids and variegated colors.  We brought in a small fall palette.  It is perfect for socks, shawls, and baby items.  Be sure to check out the book featuring this great yarn.

Baby Alpaca DK is incredibly soft and comes in great solid shades.  Pair it with Silk Cloud and your knits become simply irresistible!  We brought back matching colors in both yarns in anticipation of an upcoming fall class Terri will be teaching; the Piega Cowl.  (The sample is up in the shop for you to try on and fall in love with.) The simple stripe pattern is enhanced by the use of a variegated yarn.  This is a great project to use up bits of DK weight yarn in your stash.  You could add as many different colored stripes as you want!

The classic anchor pattern is perfect for the beach baby in your life.  Work it up as shown in blue with white striped accents, or swap the colors and use white with a bright accent color (as shown in the beanie).  Whatever way you choose, you can’t go wrong!
